The European Stem Cell Network (ESCN) was established in 2004 in
Seville, promoted by international acknowledged scientists and with
the support of the Ministry of Health of the Andalucia
regional Government.
OBJECTIVES
- Develop an environment that encourages stem cell
research and new investment in European countries.
- Facilitate and encourage collaboration and
cooperation between academia, research and industry.
- Promote public understanding of stem cell.
- Foster the exchange and dissemination of information
relating to stem cells to standardize global criteria for derivation,
characterisation and maintenance of stem cell lines training of scientists in
specific techniques.
- Provide a focus on the development of technologies
and resources.
- Disseminate information on EC funding opportunities
and science policy.
- Promote training & education.
