The Centre for Research Ethics (CRE) was established as a non-profit foundation in 1990 by the Royal Society of Arts and Sciences in Göteborg. Since 1998, CRE has been part of Göteborg University. The primary tasks of CRE are twofold: To do research in the area of research ethics and to offer training and courses in the ethics of science to scientists social scientists and students.
